The Company

PIKAÏROS is a privately-held Data Analytics company specialized in training, consulting and software development for advanced applications in analytical sciences. PIKAÏROS is based in the skirts of Toulouse, France. The premises are only at a short drive from the Pyrenees Mountains, half way from the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean.

PIKAÏROS has become operational in April 2015.

A few words

I’m a freelance consultant specialized in Data Analysis and in the development of IT solutions that will help you to successfully implement your business objectives.

With over 20 years of working experience in Data Analytics in very different environments, I have established a world-class experience in Data Analysis training, consultancy and software development.

I have an extensive portfolio of successfully managed Data Analysis projects in the fields of Bioinformatics, Chemoinformatics, Molecular Biology, Microscopy, Mass Spectrometry and Pharmacy, just to cite a few, yielding the highest customer satisfaction.

I pride myself in establishing a solid track record of long-term collaboration with my clients, winning their full confidence and reaffirming my position as a highly demanded strategic partner.

Education

I have a PhD degree in Physics, an MPhil in Signal Processing, an Msc in Theoretical Informatics from the University of Bordeaux in France and a Bsc in Computer Sciences from the Universidad Politecnica de Madrid, in Spain.

Career

Before becoming a freelance consultant in Data Analytics, I have worked in the following environments for more than thirty years:

  • Pharmaceutics – 14 years of experience at Sanofi-Aventis Research & Development, in the domains of Bioinformatics and Chemoinformatics with application to:
    • Big Pharma compound collections analysis,
    • ADME profiling,
    • Differential Mass Spectrometry Analysis,
    • 2D gel electrophoresis analysis,
    • Light and Electron Microscopy
    • Genomics.
  • Bioinformatics – 2 years at the The Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute, working on the development of sequencing tools for different genomes.
  • Academia – 4 years as postdoctorate and 2 years as senior lecturer respectively at
    • Cambridge University Engineering Department:
      • Lectured Channel Coding Theory courses to B.Sc students.
    • Anglia Ruskin University:
      • Lectured different Programming languages, Image Procesing and Neural Networks courses to B.Sc. students.
  • IT and Electronics –
    • 3 years experience as Engineer in Software development for Electronic Instrumentation.

During my long career, I have worked with the most innovative technologies and tools in Data Analysis:

Open-source technologies : R, Knime, WEKA, RDKIT, INDIGO, VERNALIS.

Proprietary technologies : MATLAB, JMP, SAS, SPOTFIRE, PIPELINE PILOT.
